I’m Trent, a product design lead focused on crafting clear, intuitive digital experiences at scale. Over the past decade, I’ve led work from the Pentagon to Grubhub, helping teams turn complex systems into products that feel simple, trustworthy, and genuinely useful.

Most recently, I grew from Product Designer to Staff Product Designer at Grubhub, leading design for Grubhub+, the company’s loyalty and subscription program. I helped grow the program from under a million members to over 12 million, redesigned the core ordering experience from menu to checkout, and shaped the menu and homepage flows where most customers decide what’s next. Along the way, I helped build the early design library that defined Grubhub’s visual language, interaction patterns, and communication style.

My approach is collaborative and systems-minded. I like working closely with product, engineering, and research to align on the problem, validate ideas quickly, and ship with confidence. Whether I’m building design systems, prototyping end-to-end flows, or refining the last 5% of a feature, I care about making every interaction feel intentional, accessible, and grounded in real user needs.

Earlier in my career, I led a multimedia design shop for U.S. Army Intelligence at the Pentagon, designing print, video, graphics, and exhibits for senior officials and one of the most visited Army websites in South Korea. At the School of Visual Arts, I co-founded INK, the school’s first iPad magazine, and later supported students and faculty as a digital lab and professor’s assistant. An editorial internship at Marvel working with the X-Men team teaching me how rhythm, pacing, and small visual decisions shape stories people remember.

When I’m not designing, you’ll usually find me riding motorcycles, sketching ideas, or reading a stack of comics. I’m always curious, always learning, and always up for a good conversation about design or coffee.
